It was wonderful to meet so many of you viewing my art at the Blue Moose on the Art and Wine Walk yesterday. Thanks for stopping by. Many of you asked questions about my choice of watercolor for my main medium. The challenge of placing color with just the right amount of water on paper intrigues me. Seeing the paper absorb moisture and boil, only to dry with vibrant color and texture provides an opportunity to experience results beyond my control. Many watercolor workshops have given me an opportunity to "play" with color. Brown is not brown, it's a mixture of red and green. Summer gardens bring lovely colors to paint. This afternoon I will be painting Plein Aire for the Horticulture Garden Tour in Grand Forks.
