Peak Season for Fall Leaves

The Bjornson Addition in Cavalier, North Dakota, has a tree with the most beautiful Fall-colored leaves this artist has ever seen.  It is a large, broad-leafed tree full of four colors:  dusty-purple, magenta-red, lemon-yellow and sap-green.  Nature's paint brush went wild with that one!  This season with cool temps and lots of humidity has stirred creative juices for a Fall palette of various leaf shapes with vibrant color.  The brilliant yellow of the narrow, ash leaves are a contrast to the red, broad-leafed maple.  The purple leaves of the ornamental apple and chokecherry trees of this northern area punctuate the cerulean-blue skies and white clouds on the sunny days of Fall in our neighborhood.  Although we know the days ahead may bring cold rain turning to snow, we enjoy the beauty of the Indian Summer days we currently experience.  Take a drive to see first-hand what gift Nature has given us.  Enjoy!
