I don't like living in the past orthe future. My enjoyment is in the "NOW". Forgot to write last month's blog so am including past items in May's blog. Spending time in the sunlighthas been healing and inspirational. Each Tuesday afternoon I attended the painting group at Leisure World, another 55 and older community where artist and friend, Joann Mathews, shared new techniques with watercolor. Last week we "poured paint" (a good way to use old paint tubes, cut apart and soaked in water. I use empty prescription bottlesto store paint). A design can be masked before you pour the background in a diagonal pattern on wet watercolor paper or you just wet the paper in certain areas before you pour. Other days we used molding paste, spray webbing, and glass beads for texture in our paintings. Try placing plastic wrap over your wet paint to create some unique shapes. Still inspired to paint!
