Happy Birthday, America

Paul and I were in Washington, DC from June 29 to July 3rd.  I attended Daughters of the American Revolution Continental Congress.  Another highlight of my trip was visiting the National Gallery of Art.   All those originals brought chills up my spine.  Paul enjoyed our visits to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and the Native American Museum where he saw the ice fishing bombadiere he had used in St Laurent, Manitoba CANADA.  He became a Master of the Metro on his three-wheeled scooter as we traveled to see the exhibits.  Our visit to Arlington National Cemetery was eventful when we approached the funeral procession of a three-star General and sat on the trolley with silence and respect as it passed by.  Other July events included a book signing of my book "Spiritsong: One Woman's Journey" at the University Bookstore on the University of North Dakota campus in Grand Forks.  My art will be on display at the Blue Moose in East Grand Forks on June 16 from 1-5 for the local Art and Wine Walk.  On Sunday, June 17th I will be a plein air artist at a local garden for the Horticulture Garden Tour in Grand Forks.
