Mom had tuberculosis when I was five years old and because it was highly contagious, she lived away from us for one and a half years. She lived at San Haven, the tuberculosis sanitarium at Dunseith, North Dakota
My experience with various caretaker's, Mom's return home and her early death prepared me to accept life as it happens. I learned to overcome challenges and discover a sensitivity within myself which I express through my writing, watercolor, and music.
This is my Spiritsong.
